The LAW, how did Jesus deal with it?

Really, how DID Jesus deal with it? Do we have to deal with it as He did?

Barry Bennett-The Ministry of Jesus Part 2 Lesson 1

The Law, how Jesus related to it and why

Matthew 5:17 “I have not come to destroy but to fulfill the law”
Not to destroy the law or the prophets, but to fulfill, not one Jot or Tittle -not one letter will be taken out until all is fulfilled.
To destroy is to dissolve, disunite, annul, discard, abrogate.
To fulfill is to make full, to fill up, to complete, to carry through to the end, to accomplish, carry out, to carry into effect, bring to realization, realize.
When you have a contract, you have to fulfill it, to bring it to completion, you can’t just burn it and then get paid, you have to do what it says if you are to get paid.
So, did Jesus fulfill the law?
The Law is good holy and spiritual, the problem is not the law, but what it does to us, it strengthens sin in us, it is death to us. As long as that law remains in effect, men will be lost, that knowledge of sin. You know this with children, say don’t and they do. Want them to wash the dishes? Tell them not to wash the dishes!
To say that we still have to keep the law is to say that Jesus failed in fulfilling it!
Jesus lived and died under the law!
Jesus taught the law because it was of the law to teach the law, and He had to fulfill it, it is not our to teach the law now, it is ours to teach grace because the law has been fulfilled!
