The Devine Flow
Motivation for Ministry is Compassion, the Love of God, Ministry is the love of God in action.
Matthew 14:14 “And Jesus went forth and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.”
The love of God moved Him, Compassion moves and does.
Mark 6:34 “And Jesus when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them…”
Moved with compassion, compassion moves and does something about the problem.
What is the purpose for Ministry?
Acts 26:18 “To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.”
This is the purpose of Ministry, to bring, Restoration, Redemption, Reconciliation, Revelation.
What is the power for ministry?
Acts 4:29 “And now lord Behold their threatening: and grant unto they servants, that with boldness they may preach your word….”
The Power of the Spirit and the Power of the Word together create a power for ministry.
Romans 1:16 The Gospel is the power of God to those who are being saved.
The Equipping for ministry?
Ephesians 4:11-12 “And He gave some, apostles; some prophets some evangelists, some teachers…” The five fold ministry.
What are the tools for Ministry?
1 Corinthians 12:4 Diversities of gifts but the same spirit.
Verse 5 Differences of administrations but the same Lord.
Verse 6 Differences of operations -Romans 12:6 “Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given us…”(Motivational gifts) what is natural to you in your newborn nature.
Prophecy, Ministry, Teaching, Exhortation, Giving, Ruling.
Back to Corinthians 12,
Verse 7, The manifestation of the spirit is given to each man for the profit of all.
The word of Wisdom, Word of knowledge, By the SAME spirit. Faith, Gifts of Healing, Working of Miracles, Prophecy, Discerning of Spirits, Tongues, Interpretation of Tongues.
What is the secret of Ministry?
Philemon 1:6 “The communication of your faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.”
Your sharing of your faith may be energized by the recognition of every good thing that is in you by Christ Jesus! The secret of Ministry is acknowledging what is in you by Christ Jesus! You are Righteous! You have the Gifts of the Spirit! The Fruit of the Spirit is there! The Peace of God! The Love, the compassion of God is there! You have the Very Spirit that raise Jesus from the dead Working in you! The righteous are as bold as a lion! IS that you? Do you know yourself as well as you should?
What is the faith for ministry?
Ephesians 3:20 “Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works IN US” It is not, “oh god please come down” it is “Oh God you are in us, just work through us.” It is not “GOD IS ABOUT TO DO A MIGHTY WORK, GREATER THAN BEFORE, HEALINGS, etc…” If that is what it is there… then I am going somewhere that it is not “about to do” and where He is working, through those who believe. (And Has been working for 2000 years.)
I agree, and the next post that I just posted, has some of the backing behind ministry, prayer, relationship, to put it shortly.
