Is God really the one to blame when someone says, "well I guess God just wanted him in heaven," or, "God, why did you do this, he was a good guy!?!?"
This should answer that question pretty well for you then.
Andrew Wommack-God’s Not Guilty! Lesson 1
The worst doctrine in the body of Christ today, to attribute things to God that are not of or from God. Most people blame God for anything that happens.
People think that God’s will just happens all on its own, they have a “whatever will be will be” attitude.
People think that “Satan is God’s messenger boy” saying that if you have a problem then it is God who is letting the devil do this to you. This is a terrible teaching, the devil loves it! People have died just because of this belief and this teaching! The Bible says “Resist the Devil and he will flee from you!” It does not say, “don’t even try because God is doing this to you by using the devil!” This takes all the responsibility off of you, saying, its all God, I can’t do anything about it. I mean really! If God is behind it then you would be sinning by fighting against it! If you believe that God is behind your sickness then quit fighting God! Quit taking those drugs to make the pain less! Learn your whole lesson!
How can you believe something like that?
Why not just take some responsibility and believe that God is really good?
Andrew Wommack-God’s Not Guilty! Lesson 2
God can work good out of things that He did not cause, if you think that God is the one that is causing all the problems in the world, it will really hinder your relationship with Him. Just because something good can be brought out of something so terrible, does not mean that the one that brings good out of it is the same one that caused the problem in the first place.
God did not kill my Grandpa, my Grandpa was old, but you see, out of his death I was able to get to know more of my extended family, and that is good, I believe that God wants me to know my family, but GOD DID NOT KILL MY GRANDPA TO DO IT!
Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil! So for God to work all things together for your good, you have to have the Holy Spirit interceding for you, you have to love God, and you have to be resisting the devil. It does not work for everyone because there are qualifications, you must love God, you must be resisting the devil!
If God controls everything, then He controls EVERYTHING, and if He doesn’t, then He DOESN’T!
If God controls everything, then He is making me tell you right now that He does not control everything! If you believe that God controls things, then what? Where do you draw the line? When do you just start calling God evil? Does God cause rape? Does God kill people? Does God cause you to lie? Does God cause anything evil to happen? Really, think, is God good? Or is that just something He does sometimes when He feels like it sometimes? When are you going to stop blaming God?
But if God is a good God, who does good always, and loves us always, and is not judging us because His wrath and Judgment was already poured out on Jesus on the Cross, then quit calling good evil and evil good.
So, that wasn't all anger towards you.. per-say, unless you happen to be one of those ones that say that my father is a murderer and a rapist.
So, on a "softer" topic, A class on 1st John.
Lawson Perdue-First John Lesson 1
Verse 1-4,
“That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life- the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you that eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us- that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and His Son Jesus Christ. And these things we write to you that your joy may be full.”
Saying, we have seen, heard, and touched Jesus, the word of life, we know personally this life, and we show to you that eternal life. So we share this with you so that you might have communion, sharing, a joint effort with us, because we have come into fellowship with the Father. And these things we write to you that your joy may be full!
“This then is the message which we have heard of Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.”
Life is found in Christ, and no where else, not in sports, not in TV, and not in money.
We didn’t have to come into the room this morning and curse the darkness and cast it out, we just flipped the light switch! The light is stronger than the darkness! Let your light shine in the earth!
“If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.”
Quit struggling! Realize who you have in you! You have been born of God! You have the life and the light of God living on the inside of you! Don’t walk in darkness! The new testament as a whole was not written to show you who you are in the flesh! It was written to show you who you are in the Spirit! Until you realize that you will not get all that you could out of it. You will not really understand it!
So God is light, God is love, and God is a consuming fire, the fire of His love! We are part of a new kingdom that cannot be shaken! The kingdom of God has taken up residence on the inside of us!
“But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.”
Walk in the light, because the Blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin, past, present, and future sin, not just what you confess, He has forgiven you for everything you have, are, or ever will do!
So live life free, knowing that God is good, God is for you, no one can come against you and win, live life as a victor.
And live life Blessed,
-Ben Heath
