So now onto the teaching from today, Every Tuesday we will have this class called "Discipleship Evangelism" Taught by Barry Bennett, and it will be the first hour each Tuesday I believe as well, now that you know, here we go!

Lesson 1
Matthew 13:19 When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is he who received seed by the wayside.
The key is to get the word into the heart and make them understand, otherwise we are wasting time.
John 8:31-32 You must know the truth and the truth will make you free. That is the importance of understanding what is shared, it must be meditated on and prayed over, then you have something to share.
John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the way the truth and the life… to know the truth is to know Jesus and he will set you free.
Find a story that reveals a doctrine, easier for people to relate.
John 4, woman at the well, Jesus engages someone, specifically a woman, so that He can draw her out to talk to her. Men have nothing to do with women in public, and even more Jews have nothing to do with Samaritans. Jesus said, If you knew the gift of God and who it is that says to you give me to drink, you would have asked of Him and He would have given you living water. Whoever drinks of the water (H2o) will thirst again, but whoever DRINKS of the water I give him, it will be a well of water springing up into everlasting life. Condition is that you must drink or the benefits are not there. First it is a gift, second it is from Jesus, third it is up to us to drink of it.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He GAVE His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes(drinks) in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 17:3 And this is eternal life, that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.
This is knowing Him, not just knowing about Him, an intimate knowledge, and you know God. A well of water inside of you that creates everlasting life. Rather than everlasting death.
2 Peter 1:2-4 Grace a peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, (grace and peace can be multiplied through the knowledge of God) as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to LIFE and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, (real intimate knowledge of God) by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature(everlasting life, Zoe life), having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
The knowledge of God through promises brings life to us, grace and peace filled and multiplied Life and godliness that we may be partakers of the Divine Nature.
Life isn’t about living one day after another it is about the quality of living one day after another. This is what God wants for us, that quality of life. “which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises” in 2 Cor. 1:20, they are all yes and Amen in Christ.
Our lives are to be partaking of the Divine Nature, the very Nature of God, the life of God, the Love of God, the promises of God are for us.
Like a pilot taking off in a plane it takes a lot of attention to take off in your Christian life to get above the law of sin and death, but once you are up there, you are just in eternal life and you put it on auto pilot, what you do is automatic and effortless.
You grow by making it your own and doing it yourself, go share this with someone!
Galatians 1:4 He gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil age, according to the WILL of our God and Father.” We are to get out of this evil age and fly above it! It is the will of God for your life! So says this verse!
Romans 5:17 For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness will REIGN in Life through the One, Jesus Christ.
So much more than we lived in a way of death and law before Christ, so much more we should and CAN live in an abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness and will reign in life through Christ.
John 10:10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
We must help people get going in the right direction, people are very religious and need to have their minds changed and renewed to the knowledge of God.
1 Cor. 6:17 But he who unites himself with the Lord is one with Him is spirit.
Are you united with the Lord in spirit? If so then you are ONE with Him!
1 John 5:11-12 And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.
If you don’t have the Son then you do not have life! If you have the son then you do!
John 6:47 Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting Life.
Believe in Jesus and receive everlasting life, give up your “life” of everlasting death and be born again into life!
Wow! What a class, yes I enjoyed it... and yes some of it is written to myself, but here I share it with you, you take it for yourself, and get what you can out of it! That is the very reason I am writing this blog, FOR YOU!

So here we go, this is the second and third put together.

Mark 4:3-20 (also in two other gospels)
Man throwing the seed and the seed lands wherever it lands. Hard ground, rocky ground, weedy ground, and good ground.
Why do you speak to the people in parables?
It takes the inspiration of the Holy Spirit to get the revelation of these.
Study asking the Holy Spirit for revelation of it.
And He said to them, do you not know this parable? And how then will you know all parables?
This parable is the key to understanding everything else Jesus said.
The sower sows the word. It is about how the kingdom of God works, the seed is the word of God!
The natural seed is a God created thing, not man made, you can’t cheat it. You can’t cram for this final! Unchangeable laws govern this!
The seed is what produces the fruit, the ground is just a receptor for the seed, it provides warmth and nutrients, but the seed has the life in it, not the ground, its not the ground that produces the fruit, without the seed there will be nothing, no matter how good the ground is. The ground is symbolic of four different types of hearts. This is the incorruptible seed, it will not rot like a natural seed. It WILL work. But it must be planted in the ground for it to germinate. Must put the word in your heart for it to have power! The devil is not afraid of the book, he is afraid of the word in your heart. Its not special ground that produces more fruit, it is the ground that does NOT have rocks, is not hard, no thorns and weeds, it actually has less in it!
Those on the wayside hear but do not understand and the devil comes and steals it from their heart. You MUST understand it! Not just know, you must UNDERSTAND!!!
Simplicity is very important, don’t be as the world and make it impressive, it’s the same message just with illustrations that the people understand. Make your message for your people, you don’t give American illustrations to an African man.
(v16) sown on stony ground, and gladly receive it, but when persecution comes for the word’s sake, immediately they are offended.
Someone who is excited about the word of God! Just being excited does not make it work in your heart. It must be rooted in your heart. If you keep digging it up every day you will kill it! You have to plant it and leave it there! (food doesn’t come from the store) You have to have a root system to be able to produce any sort of fruit, the root is most of the growth! In a pecan tree, there is three times the underground growth than there is outward growth! You can’t microwave a miracle!
You have to have the roots to sustain the growth above the ground, grow your roots deep, then expect the grow on the surface!
A large tree has a HUGE root system! We are to be like a tree planted by streams of water, and even in a drought that tree will live and the leaves will not whither, because of the roots that are in the ground and that reach the water.
Most people are a mile wide and an inch deep! Grow your roots deeper! Let the Word of God take root in your life and grow deep! Let it hit the deepest parts of your life and the fruits will come without trying!
You must grow your own roots, you can’t live off of someone else’s revelation, if you live off of someone else’s revelation then it wont stick in you, you will have to keep going back and getting fired up, but rather than doing that plant the word in your own life!
You must have a root in yourself, otherwise when affliction and persecution comes because of the word you will be offended. But, make sure you are rooted in the word, you can’t claim persecution like this without being rooted. Maybe you just got fired because you are a “sorry worker”
Trials don’t come to make you better! They come to steal the word from you!
Persecution is not a bad thing, really it is a complement because you can know that you have hit a nerve by being like Jesus.
If you spend your time arguing to protect yourself then you may win the argument but you are losing the race! The point is the race, not you proving yourself to be right to people who just want to argue, so leave those people to themselves and run your race!
The affliction and persecution steals away your boldness and conviction, by making you offended, and there are certain people that you won’t stand in your beliefs around, but you have got to get to a place where you are not afraid of people but you can speak the word of God without fear. Get to that place where you make the choice that you will NOT let anyone intimidate you or stop you from speaking the truth.
Exalt the word of God above the word of your family and friends and people you work with. If you can’t do that then you will be stopping the word of God from working in your life. God says it, that settles it.
God’s acceptance overrides anyone’s rejection. If you can’t jump over this hurdle in your own life then the word of God will not grow like it should in your life. You should take no time defending yourself, God will defend you.
uh... yeah, you got all that right? no? read it again and again, this isn't something you understand all of the first time! but the point is, get with the word of God!
