Hey got some stuff from awesome Lawson today! woohoo!

Yep, thats about it, besides the fact that I am totally planning on making a new super awesome juggling video today, and writing my pen-pal back... anyways, life is still good!

So here he is!

Lawson Perdue-Bible Covenants lesson 3
Pictures of the covenant,
Throughout the Bible we see different pictures shapes or shadows of the covenant, they are revealed through relationships. Included are a few examples to show us more about the covenant.

One of these pictures is the marriage covenant.
In the story of Ruth, Boaz is a picture of Christ, and Ruth us a picture of the church.
“Let me now go to the field and glean from the field of him in whom eyes I find grace”
She worked hard gleaning in the field all day, and so Boaz told her to stay and come again to glean in the field and not go to another field. He made provision for her. He also protected her, told his workers not to touch her. Like Jesus… keep that in mind through all this.
She entered by faith and found grace.
And she said, “let me find favor (=grace)(divine favor of God)” Also, she was not of that country, she was a foreigner, a gentile like us, and she found favor and grace by faith.
She received MORE than enough! Like God, who gives us more than enough when we learn to receive from Him.
“All that you say to me I will do”
Most people don’t want to do this, to take advice from someone and follow it knowing it is wise.
Hosea 1:1-4 “The word of the Lord that came to Hosea the son of Beeri, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash, King of Israel. When the Lord began to speak by Hosea, the Lord said to Hosea: “Go, take yourself a wife of harlotry And children of harlotry, For the land has committed great harlotry By departing from the Lord.” So he went and took Gomer the daughter of Diblaim, and she conceived and bore him a son. Then the Lord said to him: “Call his name Jezreel, For in a little while I will avenge the bloodshed of Jezreel on the house of Jehu, And bring an end to the kingdom of the house of Israel.” then she bore a daughter and, “The God said to him: “Call her name Lo-Ruhamah, For I will no longer have mercy on the house of Israel, But I will utterly take them away. Yet I will have mercy on the house of Judah, Will save them by the Lord their God, And will not save them by bow, Nor by sword or battle, by horses or horsemen.” “Then she conceived and bore a son. Then God said: “Call his name Lo-Ammi, For you are not my people….” and all this goes on, and God speaks of the Judgment He SHOULD pour out on Israel, but shows mercy, constantly mercy.

And... that is it, for now, I'm looking forward to looking into the covenants more!!!
God is Good!!!
