Romans 1:1-3
Yesterday we saw that one of the most important revelations that we as believers can understand is that the gospels are really just Jesus introducing us to the father. Until Jesus started preaching no one really thought of God as their father. The way that Jesus ministered to people is a revelation of who the Father is. A lot of times we get confused by the way Jesus acted and the way he taught because sometime it looks as if they oppose each other. But when he taught the Jews he taught the law because there was no other covenant to teach when He came. Jesus came to show us the character and nature of God through the way he dealt with people and spoke to people. The Root Message of the Gospel. When Paul the apostle wrote in his ministry was also one of those that when he wrote was mostly proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Paul a bond servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated to the Gospel of God which He promised before through His prophets in the Holy Scriptures Concerning His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, who was born of the seed of David according to the flesh. The gifting were given to the church for the mending/making whole of the people. Success in ministry is the people you are ministering to, are they being made whole? The Gospel which He promised in advance, not just a new thing, its legit, most of the prophets are about this “new” Gospel. The Gospel regarding His son, without Christ there is no Gospel! A message that you hear being preached, that you find that someone has written in a book, or on television, if it has not considered Christ and His completed work, its not the Gospel! Its not Good News! It might be good advice. Somehow we have confused the two. Good advice is not a bad thing, but so much of what is taught in the body of Christ is not the Gospel but is good advice. But does it consider in the message the finished work of Jesus Christ? You can be biblically
Colossians 1:9 For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.” That knowledge that is for your own benefit, and if you don’t know it you can’t benefit! Directly and positively influence every area of your life. The essence of the Gospel is an intimate knowledge, a revelation knowledge, when you have it it will change every thing about your life, it is effortless, you will simply find out how much you have changed, you wont even realize it is happening.
Holy Spirit Lesson 5 Wendell Parr
John 14:16-18 and 26-27 “And I will pray the father, and he will give you another helper, that He may abide with you forever the spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.” “ But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, HE will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.”
Helper/Comforter- parakletos- To speak to, to speak cheerfully, to encourage, called to help, legal advisor, pleader, proxy, advocate, one who comes forward on behalf of and representative of another.
These people had been with Jesus every day for three years, and now He is getting them ready for Him to leave them, and says that really it will be better once He is gone! Because He can then send the Holy spirit, the helper/comforter to them! Now with us! Forever. Good for us. You know, reading the Bible messes up a lot of people’s beliefs! Why are we afraid to bring some security in an insecure world? To know that He is with us always, forever, brings a great amount of security and comfort. We shouldn’t be afraid to teach that He is with us here and abides with us forever, (and I’m not) but whole denominations live in the fear that if they do anything wrong that the spirit will leave then. (cut your hair your going to hell… ladies) why always picking on the ladies? Goes on to say that He is the Spirit of truth. What is coming out of your mouth? This will determine if it is or is not of the Holy Spirit, is it true? If what is said does not line up with the Word of God then it is not of the Spirit of God and it is not the Truth of God. “Your word is Truth” -Jesus to the Father. Don’t care if they say “Thus saith the Lord” because if its not lining up with the Word of God then its not God “thus saying” The world cannot receive the Holy Spirit, it is for Believers, a gift to those that believe, duh. -He will teach us all things. When the word of God becomes a reality to you, then it is the meat, the milk is when you are receiving from someone else, the meat is what you eat yourself. The Holy Spirit will bring all things to your remembrance. (for a reason)
Holy Spirit Lesson 6 Wendell Parr
John 16:7-11
Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. And when He has come He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: of sin, because they do no believe in me, of righteousness, because I go to my Father and you see me no more, of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.”
Reprove means- to convict, to convince, to tell a fault, to rebuke, to admonish.
Three things that the bible teaches that the Holy Spirit does, easy to see, also find people that think it is too simple and plain and try to complicate it! Even children can understand the things of God, no degree required. Religion is complex, the Kingdom of God is simple. “HyperGrace” ?
Reprove the world of sin, who is He going to reprove/judge? The world. What sin? Not believing on Jesus. Not complex, but simple. Must throw aside the denominational backgrounds and “always thoughts” doesn’t matter what you have always believed if its not true. The world is those that don’t know the Lord, not believers. Reprove convince and convict the lost. Only works if the Spirit is working with us, no man comes to the Father except that He draws them. He didn’t say the Holy Spirit was going to come into the world and convict them of lying and murder and stealing, because if those are what are going to send you to hell then all you have to do is quit doing those things, the point is the need for a savior, those things may be indications of someone going to Hell, but they are not the reason, Jesus dying dealt with the sin issue for everybody, no one is going to Hell because of any of those sins. The only thing that will keep you from Heaven is not believing on Jesus! Not endorsing those sins, but those are not sending you to hell, Jesus paid the price for those, and even if a lost person doesn’t know it, they are already forgiven, it is finished, its not about not doing those sins, its about believing on Jesus, because when you are His disciple, you wont want to anyways. Don’t address what is wrong, address the real problem of receiving Jesus as savior. You can’t legislate morality, only a heart change will change what is done. The Holy spirit is not working with you if you are telling people all that they are doing wrong, but showing them Jesus.
Convict the World of Righteousness, what does this mean? The world is constantly trying to justify themselves! And the church has let it go on, comparing yourself with another, you can always find someone worse than you. But in Isaiah God says that all the World’s righteousness is as dirty rags. Why so many Christians still trying to become righteous? Our righteousness is of God, He who knew no sin became sin for us so that in Him we might become the Righteousness of God. We are the Righteousness of God!
Romans 3:19 “Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may be guilty before God.
Of Judgment, not that of the judgment to come, but because the prince of this world (Satan) is Judged already! The Judgment is over of Him, he is a defeated foe! Satan is zero, he is nothing! The Holy Spirit will convince the world that Satan is a zero, and will cause us to triumph in Christ Jesus and realize that we are winners! Don’t be a good loser, be the winner God says you are! Everyone is attracted to winners, what if the church started living as the winners we are? We are more than conquerors, the Devil is on the losing team, Jesus is on the winning team, get with Jesus! Jesus won the battle, got the authority, did everything necessary for us to be in Relationship with Him, and then gave us the Victory, aka, gave us all the spoils. Our sin is dealt with, our righteousness is in Christ, and our life is with Him! That’s it.
That's my notes!
I think I like this, copy and paste right from the class, what was spoken, things I got from it, all right here!
Have a nice day!

Good stuff -- imagine if all churches were teaching this instead of just a few here and there!
ReplyDeleteNo kidding! But the reason I came wasn't just for the teaching, it was because here I would have a great amount of support from others to do the same thing that they are learning or have learned before me. The Atmosphere.
