But I didn't!
Andrew Wommack Started his teaching on "A Better Way to Pray" and simply stated to start with, that he didn't label it, "You are the devil if you don't pray this way" or "The only true way to pray" you can listen to the teaching on his website www.awmi.net but essentially it all stems out of a relationship with God.
The one class I did take notes on was this,
Barry Bennett-Discipleship Evangelism Part 3 Lesson 3
Miracles Glorify God!
Healing is for everyone, and many times, the healing or whatever miracle the see is what brings them into believing the message of the Gospel that they have heard! Miracles simply confirm the message. They confirm and announce and create an amazement about the word.
The Key to successful Ministry, Mark 1:21, He taught them as one having authority… and there was a man with an “unclean” spirit, and he (that man) cried out, “what have we to do with you Jesus, we know who you are” and Jesus rebuked him, and told him to come out. Immediately His fame spread throughout… so as the sign was shown, His ministry greatly increased, it made way for His words.
Usually in each situation you are in, in whatever ministry you are called to, there will be someone with a unique situation that needs a miracle, and that will confirm your word, announce and increase your influence, and create an amazement in the hearts of those listening, God will be Glorified.
Jesus used Miracles to validate His word, and Paul used them to validate his ministry! (1 Corinthians 2:4-5)
He works with them, if they had not gone out preaching the word, and doing what they were called to do, then there would not have been any healings or miracles. WORKS WITH THEM, HE works with US.
Jesus Christ is THE SAME yesterday, TODAY, and forever. If you are about His purpose, then expect His confirmation.
What is a Miracle? “A Sign that makes you wonder”
A manifestation of God’s power over natural law and circumstances.
Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” It is not hoping for things unseen, but seeing the unseen by faith.
How do miracles happen?
Acts 3:6 a lame man, laid at the gate of the temple…“What I have I give you! Rise up and walk!”
I have what Peter had! Verse 12, “Why do you look at us, as if by our own power or Holiness we have done this?” He recognized that it was not his own Holiness, or his own power.
Verse 16, “And through faith in His name (Jesus) this man was made whole.”
1 Corinthians 1:7, “So that you come behind in NO GIFT, waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” In Paul’s mind, the gifts are for today until the coming of Jesus Christ.
And as you can see, I loved it.
Hope it was enjoyed, I am going to now enjoy my steak.
