Yeah I know you are waiting for it... so here it is

Today, Class was wonderful as usual, I did not have work afterwards, so I juggled and did other things that needed to be done, and generally just enjoyed my day!

The first class today was with Arthur Meintjes, on the heart of the Gospel. And this is so important! Its not about us, its about Him. In EVERYTHING.


Arthur Meintjes-The Heart of the Gospel Lesson 4

Romans 1:1-3
3... The gospel (good news) regarding His Son, who as to the flesh (His human Nature) was descended from David.

The Nature of the Gospel and the Nature of God is one and the same. You cannot divide them.
David was a man who knew the true essence and character of God!
Psalm 107: 1-8, 15, 21, 31
O give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good: for His mercy endures forever.
Notice he does not say “give thanks to the Lord for He does good things”
No, HE IS GOOD.
Give thanks for who He is! Not just what He does.
He is, was, and always will be GOOD.
What about the balance? OK here it is…
God=Good
God is on one side of the scale, and good is on the other, they are equal and the same, in that good is the Nature and essence of God, you cannot separate the two.
Balanced.
Oh taste and see that the Lord is good!
Until you go and taste for yourself, it does not matter what I tell you!
You cannot convince me that God is not good! I don’t care if you have a million page paper on it, I’ve tasted and seen! I know God is good!
God’s goodness is not like a wallet, He can’t set it down, it is who HE is, like a tree is made of wood, take away the wood, and there is no tree.
God is a good God, and no matter what the condition of your life is, you can still only come in contact with the goodness of God. There is no other “side” of God, God is good.
If I went out drinking and doing drugs for ten years, and then came back and talked to God, God is still good, then if I went out and memorize the entire Bible, and prayed for hours a day, and had visions and dreams, and healed people and raised people from the dead, and got ten thousand people saved, and then went to meet with God, He would still be the same good God. Our life’s condition does not change God!!!
Just like who we are or what we have done does not change the fact that a tree is made of wood, who we are and what we have done does not change God! God is Good.
The Gospel is not about finding something wrong with people, its about declaring what is right with people! Because of Jesus.


Second and Third classes were with Wendell Parr, one of my favorite teachers, though yes I really did enjoy Arthur's teaching today! God is truly Good all the time. It is who He is.

Wendell Parr-Holy Spirit II Lesson 4

Manifestations of the Holy spirit,
First when we are born of the Spirit;
Galatians 5:22-23 the fruit of the spirit.
These are parts of our nature, it is who we are now! It is what happens when we are born again! You never walk by an apple tree and hear it saying “I confess that I will bear apples!” “oh yes… here comes an apple!” “mhmmmm” you don’t hear that because it is the apple tree’s nature! It IS our nature as born again people to bear the fruits of the spirit!
Romans 10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believes.
If you are born again, then you are righteous in the sight of God!
Romans 13:9-10 For this, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not kill, you shall not steal, you shall not bear false witness, you shall not covet, and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, “you shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
2 Peter 1:4 By which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
If we understood what happened to us when we were born again, we would know that when we were born again that we took on the very nature of God! All we have to do is let that nature come out of us, it is in there, and it would be effortless.
Romans 5:5 Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
1 John 4:7-8 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
Tada! If you don’t know God you can’t love, if you don’t love you don’t know God, and if you do love then you do know God and have been born of God!
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ he is a new creation! The Old HAS gone the new HAS come!
Second when we are baptized in the Spirit;

The whole reason for these things is to show the true reality of God! He has chosen to reveal Himself through us, we’re it!
Three revelation gifts
Three power gifts
Three vocal/inspirational gifts
New Birth changes the nature of a person
Baptism in Spirit changes the abilities of a person
New Birth for nature brings about fruit
Baptism in Spirit brings about ability and gifts
Ending… read 1 Corinthians 13

Realize, this ended and concluded with the direct recognition that you can do these things not motivated by love, and yet, if you do, you and your works are nothing, are worth nothing, and will totally amount to nothing.

Wendell Parr-Holy Spirit II Lesson 5

Galatians 5:22-23 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.”

Looking at each fruit just a bit closer; the fruit of the spirit is the prosperity of the soul.
Love;
Defining the three types of love found in the Greek language,
Eros-Physical love, normally our first impression, what people look like.
Phileo-Soulish emotional love. (Remember, there is nothing wrong with these types of love in their pure form, only they become wrong when they are perverted.) types are parents to children, children to parents, brothers to sisters, and husbands to wives. We need to not confuse these. Love between husbands and wives should not be shared to those outside.
Agape-God kind of love, unmerited, unearned, without cause.
This is great love, but we as humans love everyone differently through these other types of love, and yet at the same time by the spirit we can love everyone with this God love.
Human love is caused love, and is based on something external. But God’s love is not based on outside image, peers, emotions, or anything like that, God can’t do anything else, because that is who He is, God is Love. 1 John 4:7-8 Love is of God, and everyone that loves knows God and is born of God, He that does not love does not know God for God is love. (parraphrased)
(They will know that you are my disciple by your love for one another-Jesus)

I didn't get all of this because my computer ran out of battery, but I will continue to get all that I can, I do love taking all these notes!
